PE trainers will also examine methods for “containing” classrooms and responding to difficult students who disrupt these important conversations. This is one of our most popular teacher trainings! Talking About DiversityEnsuring safe environments must include the celebration of all children’s unique qualities. However, youth often lack the knowledge and permission to discuss issues of diversity around race, culture, gender, religion or sexual orientation, and adults may be uncomfortable discussing these issues with youth. This workshop provides adults with engaging ideas about how to discuss challenging issues such as privilege, oppression, and inclusive attitudes and behaviors with the youth they work with.
